Teaching and Preaching

Faith in the word of God and in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ forms the foundation for a life dedicated to God’s glory. God says through the Apostle Paul, “for I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Co 15:3-4) God works faith in your heart by hearing the word of God. Your sins are forgiven and your have peace with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. You possess eternal life as a gift from God by faith. As the word of God is the means of strengthening faith and conforming us to Christ, we seek to teach the Bible unfolding this priceless revelation of God in all the Scriptures. God has gifted each believer in different measures with the ability to teach, resulting in mutual exhortation and encouragement in the fellowship of the church. However, we affirm that it is especially in the preaching of the word of God that God calls His people to faith and strengthens them.

God's Word

God calls us to be doers of the word and not hearers only (James 1:22). Faith produces obedience to God’s word. You demonstrate your love for God by doing what He says. God blesses obedience so that whole patterns of life are changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. There is no area of life outside the authority of the risen Christ, who is King of kings and Lord of lords. The Bible addresses all concerns in life.

Service

God has called His people to be rich in good works. Christ teaches us that faith works through love. This love in the service of others is a mark of God’s people. We help one another and our neighbors as God gives us opportunity.

Worship

Our main purpose in life is to worship and glorify God. God not only commands us to worship Him individually and in families but also publicly with God’s people. God meets His people in a special way in the public assembly. We seek to worship God only in the ways He has specified in His word through praise in psalms and hymns, prayers, the reading and hearing of God’s word, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

Family Life

We seek to strengthen each family to serve the Lord. God commands parents to teach their children the Christian Faith; therefore, the church instructs parents so that they can fulfill this responsibility. We believe that the church should not have too many activities that would detract from family ministry.
